With Green Colors, her new French interior paint line, Corinne has brought together years of experience working with interiors and clients to create a carefully curated collection of shades suitable for any home.

Originally from Touraine, in the heart of Loire Valley with its famous castles, Corinne grew up in Chaumont-sur-Loire, where France’s International Garden Festival is held yearly. With this strong connection to nature and design, it’s not hard to see where her interest in aesthetics and interiors began.

Having initially studied international business, which led to 12 years working in international marketing, Corinne decided to retrain as an interior designer and color specialist. Now based in Paris, she has amassed 14 years experience in this field, including six years as a color consultant for British paint brand Farrow & Ball, where she has helped countless clients find the right shades for their interiors through personalised in-home and online consultations.

We sat down with her to learn more about Green Colors, her approach to picking shades for clients and what inspired her to create her own line.

When did you start your brand and what inspired you to do so?

I officially created the brand a year and a half ago. However, the desire to launch my own paint company goes back to 2022 and was driven by several reasons. I have been passionate about colors from a very young age and have a strong artistic sensibility. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, I also inherited a business mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit. After 14 years developing my expertise, I saw there was a real demand in the French market for genuine guidance and support, and I wanted to put my experience as a color consultant at the service of all those for whom choosing the right paint colors remains a challenge.

Can you tell us a little about the vision behind your line of paints?

My paint collection currently includes 50 colors, and soon it will grow to 60. I was inspired by natural shades and timeless tones that remain beautiful over the years without ever going out of style. The palette includes soft neutrals, elegant earth tones and a wide range of greens for their ability to create a sense of harmony, calm and connection with nature.

I chose my color range based on my years of experience as a color consultant and my understanding of how people live with colors in their homes. My goal was not to create a palette of 1,000 or 2,000 colors where everyone gets lost and no one can decide. The 60 colors have been carefully selected according to precise criteria to create a harmonious palette, where every shade has a purpose and can easily be combined with others.

Having worked with thousands of clients, I know that choosing a color can sometimes feel difficult. I wanted to create a collection that makes this decision easier, with colors people can immediately connect with and imagine in their own interiors. The idea is to help people find a palette they genuinely love, one that enhances and harmonizes their interior. Despite the relatively small selection of 60 colors, I think there is something to suit everyone, from younger generations to older clients.

How do you define your style? What do you offer that other brands don’t?

I haven’t come across any brand in the French market created by an interior architect, color expert, or color consultant. My approach isn’t simply about launching a paint product — it’s first centered on human connection and tailored advice. Moreover, my paints are made with bio-based ingredients and designed with a more responsible and environmentally friendly approach. They have a VOC level of less than 1 g/L, one of the lowest on the market. This makes them particularly suitable for creating healthier interiors, especially for children and for people who are sensitive to airborne particles.

Why should someone get a color analysis for their home?

Choosing the right color for your home is not only about finding a shade you like. It is about understanding how a color interacts with the light, the architecture, the materials in your home — from flooring to fabrics and wall finishes — and the atmosphere you want to create. This type of color balancing takes a trained eye, and after years of experience and having met thousands of clients, I have developed a strong ability to quickly understand what people love, what they dislike and what will truly suit their personality and their space. By listening carefully and helping them express their wishes, I transform what can often feel like a stressful and difficult decision into a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

My experience also allows me to quickly identify the right color intensity, the perfect balance and the shades that will enhance an interior. Choices that can take people days or even weeks of hesitation can often become clear within a few minutes with the guidance of an experienced color consultant. The goal is to create interiors that feel harmonious, timeless, and personal — spaces where colors naturally work together and where people feel truly at home.

French design is universally popular, what do you think sets Parisian style apart?

Parisian style is unique in its ability to effortlessly combine elegance, authenticity and sophistication. Parisian interiors are not about following trends. They are about creating a timeless atmosphere by mixing different influences. The beauty often comes from the dialogue between history and modernity. Traditional architectural details such as mouldings, parquet floors and beautiful proportions are combined with contemporary furniture, natural material and carefully chosen colors.

Having worked in the Parisian interior design market for many years, I have developed a deep understanding of Parisian homes. Especially Haussmann-style apartments. Many of these interiors have specific challenges. Some lack natural light, some are north-facing and others have architectural features that require a very thoughtful approach. Choosing the right shade is essential to enhance these spaces, bring in warmth and create the right atmosphere. A color that works beautifully in one apartment may not have the same effect in another. This is why a nuanced understanding of space is so important. Above all, Parisian style is about personality. It is not about creating a perfect showroom, but about designing a home that tells a story and reflects the people who live there.

What challenges do you find hardest as a new business owner?

One of my biggest challenges is building awareness and trust around a new brand. Creating a beautiful product is only the first step. You also need to communicate your vision, explain your values and help people understand what makes your brand different. As a founder, I also have to manage many different aspects of the business at the same time: product development, marketing, communication, customer relationships and daily operations. It requires a lot of energy and adaptability — and it’s a role where I am constantly learning. But the most rewarding part is seeing people connect with the brand and understanding the value we offer. Building a company takes time, but every new client, every project and every collaboration helps bring the vision of Green Colors to life.

What are your future plans?

I would love to open a boutique in Paris where people could come for color advice, discover the different shades and take the time to work on their interior design projects in a welcoming environment.
