Cirque Le Roux

Blending traditional circus elements with an almost cinematic approach to storytelling, Cirque Le Roux was founded in 2014 and has since quickly positioned itself at the forefront of the contemporary circus scene in France. Bringing a narrative depth to their performances that is often absent in more conventional acts, each of their productions explores human relationships and emotional vulnerability, pushing at the boundaries of what circus can be.

Inspired by the golden age of Hollywood and both European and American circus traditions, their aesthetic is richly textured, evoking vintage elegance with an undercurrent of melancholy and wonder. With Entre Chiens et Louves, the troupe offers a poignant and evocative performance, weaving together the lives of three characters who inhabit the same space across different eras.

Exploring the themes of time, memory and the traces we leave behind us, the eight performers take the audience on a mesmerizing journey told through impressive acrobatics, gravity-defying stunts and poetic dance sequences that unfold in perfect harmony. The interplay of light and shadow and set design heightens the emotional stakes, promising a memorable evening of entertainment that lingers long after the final act.
