A delicious twist on a pain perdu, we think this strawberry brioche is the perfect dessert – or even a decadent brunch treat!
Making use of seasonal berries, leftover brioche bread and eggs, this is a simple and easy recipe to win anyone over.

Ingredients
- 8 slices of brioche bread
- 3 eggs
- 25 cl (1 cup) milk 30 g (2 tbsp) butter 100 g (1/2 cup) sugar
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp orange water 1 tbsp icing sugar
- 400 g (2 cups) strawberries
- 2 tbsp of sugar
Instructions
Chop the strawberries into cubes, sprinkle them with the two tbsp sugar and set aside to marinate.
Beat the eggs with the milk and sugar. Add the orange water and beat together again. Dip the brioche slices into the mixture and leave to soak for a few minutes.
Heat the oil and butter in a frying pan, add the brioche slices. Cook for 3 minutes on each side. Remove.
Serve on a plate, top with the strawberries and dust on the icing sugar.
