Welcome to our monthly series: MFCH Staff Favorites!
Every month, the members of the My French Country Home team will share a recommendation for their favorite thing in France right now.
France has never been short of admirers, but the best Instagram accounts about French life are not really about admiration — they are about observation. The accounts our team has gathered here do something better than the average travel or lifestyle feed: they capture what it actually feels like to move through French life, whether that means spotting an immaculately dressed stranger crossing the Seine, tracking down an obscure ingredient in a Paris market, or watching a centuries-old farmhouse get a new coat of paint.
What all these accounts have in common is that each one makes you feel like you have truly been transported to France — noticing what locals notice, seeing what usually goes unseen. Scroll through any of them long enough and you will find yourself saving posts, planning trips, or simply feeling grateful that someone took the extra effort to really look — and share it with the world.
These are the French lifestyle Instagram accounts the My French Country Home team loves right now.
Messy Nessy Chic @messynessychic
Recommended by Olivia, MFCH Brand Strategist, Writer, & Editor
If you want to feel like a French pigeon perched on a Paris lamppost, you must follow the account @MessyNessyChic. Nessy is a longtime blogger who has always had an eye for finding the magic hiding in the mundane. Her Instagram account is a never-ending compilation of passersby shot from a bird’s eye view on the streets of Paris. The videos reveal the fascinating intricacies and vast diversity of Parisians and tourists while simultaneously uniting them in creative and humorous themes.

Messy Nessy’s reels can transport anyone to the City of Light’s storied streets — if only for a brief minute. Based in the Latin Quarter, you can also visit her quaint little shop filled with a curated selection of books, antiques, and curiosities that evoke the same quirky spirit behind her videos.
Paris Street Style @paris.street.style
Recommended by Jessy, MFCH Customer Service Coordinator
I discovered @paris.street.style long before I arrived in France. It must have been 2019, when I stumbled upon the page, dreaming of a time when I would walk alongside Parisians clad in their unmistakable and chic ensembles, which always seem to fit just right. Paris Street Style captures candid shots of those flaneuring in the city, highlighting that je ne sais quoi the French are perfectly familiar with. The photos are anonymous, covering any faces, and focusing just on the essence of classic and contemporary style.

What I appreciate most about this page is that it celebrates classic Parisian taste. Young people, mature and seasoned city dwellers, families, and tourists all make the cut. Walking in the park or stepping out at Place Vendôme merit the same kind of appeal — a simple admiration for everyone who makes Paris a little more beautiful and interesting.
Parisian Vibe @parisianvibe
Recommended by Alizée, MFCH Travel and Tour Manager
One of my favorite French accounts at the moment is @ParisianVibe. I feel like they really manage to capture this very specific Parisian energy without making it feel cliché or try-hard. Even as a French person, I genuinely find their content inspiring and interesting.
What I like is that it’s not just about fashion or aesthetics, it’s more about a whole attitude and way of living. They talk about relationships, style, culture, art de vivre, but always in a way that feels witty, self-aware, and a bit sarcastic. It feels much more modern and real than the typical “Parisian chic” content you usually see online.

I also think it’s a really good account for people abroad who are fascinated by French culture and want to understand the actual vibe behind it. And they produce so much content, not just Instagram, but also YouTube and Substack, so you can really go down the rabbit hole. I always end up discovering interesting people, brands, or references through them.
Aurélie Debiève @la_roquerie
Recommended by Maddy, MFCH Magazine Writer & Editor
One of my go-tos for interior design inspiration at the moment is @la_roquerie, an account run by Aurélie Debiève, a native Parisian. After featuring her Normandy cottage in the Jan/Feb 2025 issue of the magazine, I’ve been following along for more of her distinctive decorating style: French country with an English twist, vintage pieces and beautiful paintwork and patterns.

Doing much of the work herself, she shares practical ideas and proves that spectacular results can be achieved even with a fairly modest budget. I’m also enjoying the sneak peeks at her latest project, “The Farmhouse”, a new guest house opening in June.
Preeti Gills @preetigills
Recommended by Sarah, MFCH Subscription Box & Boutique Manager
@PreetiGills is one of those accounts I check on weekly. Preeti is an American who has been living in Paris for over ten years, and she has the kind of insider knowledge that takes years to build, the sort you don’t find in guidebooks.
What keeps me coming back is her restaurant content, both in Paris and when she travels. She has a real eye for the kind of place that feels like a find — not the obvious choices, but the ones that make you want to book a trip just to eat there. My saved folder is full of her recommendations.

She also has an uncanny ability to track down ingredients that are somehow impossible to find in Paris. She’ll subtly mention the one shop or market stall that stocks exactly what you’ve been hunting for. Living here, you know how much that kind of tip is worth.
Cordelia de Castellane @cordeliadecastellane
Recommended by Sharon, MFCH Founder & Editor-in-Chief
@CordeliaDeCastellane comes from design aristocracy. Her family has been involved in the Maison Dior for a while, her cousin Victoire de Castellane is the creative director of Dior Haute Joaillerie. and she continues to prolong the tradition of elegance, and classic French style through her role as designer for Dior Home and Dior Baby.

I visit her account because, like me, she loves her garden, she grows loads of tulips and dahlias and she lays beautiful tables. She has a house in the French countryside, and I love her colorful, floral inspired decor, which speaks to me of a full and happy family life.
