Givenchy’s Art Collection Goes to Auction

Mark your calendars! Seventy years after the legendary French fashion designer Hubert de Givenchy presented his first haute couture collection, Christie’s auction house in Paris has announced his extensive art collection will be going under the hammer. The exceptional collection – which includes everything from antique furniture to modern sculptures to works from master artists like Picasso and Miró, all previously displayed in his private – embodies the elegance and creativity he was so known and respected for.

The auction, which will present more than 1,000 pieces, is open to the public from June 14⁠–⁠17 (live), and from 8⁠–⁠23 (online), 2022.

Additionally, a curated selection of these items will go on a global tour, to be seen and discussed at various events around the world, spreading Givenchy’s refined taste and vision to each stop along the way.
