Brie de Meaux is a beloved French cheese that gets its name from the town it hails from โ€“ Meaux, in the Brie region of France. Legend has it that this rich, creamy cheese โ€“ made from raw cow’s milk and encased in a delicate, edible rind โ€“ย dates all the way back to the 7th century, even known to be enjoyed by Emperor Charlemagne.ย
