La Belle Vue
In the picturesque village of Neffiรจs, Occitanie, Swedish couple Yvonne and Micke live in and run โLa Belle Vue:” a charming B&B renovated with love and attention. The house, built in 1854, used to belong to the villageโs prestigious winemaker and passed through several hands over the years. By the time Yvonne and Micke bought it, it was in a terrible state, but the floors, doors, windows and original details were still in place and could be salvaged; the couple is proud of having carried out almost all the work on the home themselves. A Timeless Garden
In the Seine-et-Marne region, on the periphery of Fontainebleau forest, former model turned landscape designer Suzanne Meijer has created her dream garden, where structured topiary is softened by colorful flowers and perennials. From the road, you can just about make out the gamekeeperโs house at the Chรขteau de Bourron-Marlotte. Nestled in the heart of a park filled with free-roaming deer, this is where Suzanne Meijer has honed her green-thumbed talent to experiment with shape, color and the regionโs hardy plants.
