Welcome to the first spring edition of My French Country Home magazine in 2025!

At this time of year, there is a distinct pep in the air — and it finally seems the moment to embrace renewal, both within ourselves and our surroundings. It’s the season to refresh the home, tend to the garden and map out plans for the summer ahead. Unlike the depths of January and February, which often leave us lingering in a state of hibernation, spring invites us to step into something new.

The March/April 2025 edition of My French Country Home Magazine is brimming with inspiration to help you do just that. Here are just a few of the highlights that you can look forward to in this bright new edition:

Interiors bursting with color

First, we visit an enchanting country home in the Périgord, lovingly revived by its designer’s sophisticated use of color. We invite you to discover the magnificent Château de la Treyne as well as a charming guesthouse in the Dordogne. We also take a peek inside a Provençal retreat and home to its owner’s stunning art collection. Additionally, we sit down with the co-founder of the wallpaper brand Le Fleur to discuss her impressive ethos and new collection of lino-printed designs.

Spring blooms all around France

Springtime in France is a feast for the senses, especially in its gardens. In this issue, we showcase two exquisite properties, Jardin de Brantes and the gardens of the Château de Chenonceau. For tulip enthusiasts, we highlight the vibrant blooms of Provence, perfectly timed for the Tulip Festival in early April. And for those enchanted by Paris in spring, don’t miss our portfolio of seasonal blossoms found around the city, captured by Georgianna Lane.

Sweet surprises for the season

As Easter approaches, a whimsical table setting for a celebratory lunch en plein air — complete with a delightful cast of baby goats and chicks — never fails to make us smile, rain or shine. For dessert lovers, we present an irresistible selection from some of France’s best pastry chefs.

& so much more…

We hope this edition brings a breath of fresh air and a touch of springtime joy to your home, inspiring plans for the season ahead.

Portfolio: April in Paris

April in Paris,” goes the jazz standard made famous by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. “Chestnuts in blossom. Holiday tables under the trees.” After a winter spent largely indoors, the arrival of warmer weather brings an undeniable buzz to the streets of the French capital. In our spring Portfolio, we feature an extensive collection of fabulous photos by Georgianna Lane, one of our favorite garden photographers who has literally written the book on where to enjoy the city’s best blooms.

Destination France: Where History Meets Luxury

Château de la Treyne has a history as rich and layered as the Dordogne region itself. Perched on the banks overlooking the tranquil Dordogne River, the château is more than a luxurious escape – it’s a window into centuries of craftsmanship and the intimate devotion of its caring owners.

Gardens of France: Reclaimed Legacy

Fifteen minutes from Avignon, the Domaine de Brantes in Sorgues has been the pride of the Del Bianco family since 1619. Celebrated as both a historical monument and a Jardin Remarquable (Remarkable Garden), this estate blends Provençal and Tuscan inspiration, inviting guests to explore centuries of history and horticultural artistry.

Recipes: Douce France (Sweet France)

“No other country so embodies the art of sweet pleasures like France,” writes François Blanc, the food journalist and editor of Sweet France, a recipe book that features an extensive collection of dessert creations by France’s most famous and beloved pastry chefs. This issue features a small sampling of recipes from the book’s 350+ pages.
